Asda Mobile SIM-only deals

Compare selected Asda Mobile SIM-only deals, from one-month Pay As You Go (PAYG) bundles to 12- and 24-month contracts. Every plan includes UK calls and texts, but flexibility, data rollover, Asda Rewards and early-exit costs differ as much as data and price do. Even Unlimited UK plans include no more than 5GB of European roaming data. Check each card's verification date before you choose.

Provider information

Asda Mobile highlights

These are provider-level statements, not assumptions about a particular handset. Terms and coverage can vary.

Asda Mobile deals: the decision in 30 seconds

Asda Mobile's main choice is between paying for flexibility and committing for contract benefits or a lower monthly price. Its one-month bundles are PAYG, and its 12- and 24-month offers have minimum terms. Both include calls, texts and mobile data, so none is a data-only SIM.

If you are not set on Asda, start with all UK SIM-only deals to compare networks and contract terms.

Does a longer Asda Mobile contract cost less?

Not always. The commitment matters as much as the monthly price. The table below uses selected DealPriceCheck offers checked on 20 October 2026. It is a dated snapshot and not a live quote or a promise of future prices. The current cards above and the final retailer checkout take precedence.

UK dataOne-month PAYG12-month contract24-month contractThe practical difference
3GB£5/month£5/month£5/monthNo monthly saving for the longer commitment
10GB£8/month£8/month£7/monthOnly the two-year plan lowered the bill
100GB£18/month£18/month£17/month£1/month less for two years
Unlimited£22/month£22/month£19/month£3/month less for two years

In the same dated selection, 25GB was offered on 12 months at £14 and 24 months at £13, but not as a like-for-like one-month bundle. A 15GB one-month PAYG option cost £10. Comparing 15GB with 25GB as if they were the same would mislead.

The 3GB row shows the point: committing for two years did not lower the advertised monthly price. Contract-only data rollover or Rewards could still matter, but only if you use them.

For Unlimited, £19 against £22 is £3 a month. Over 24 months that is a hypothetical £72 difference, and only if the one-month PAYG price stayed at £22 throughout. It is not a guaranteed £72 saving, because PAYG prices can change and the two-year plan carries early-exit risk. At the dated contract price, £19 × 24 means £456 minimum subscription spending, before extra charges or any separately earned Cashpot value.

Do not pick a two-year SIM-only plan just for a lower cost per GB. Ask whether you need that much data, expect to stay for the whole term and could accept a cancellation charge if your circumstances changed.

Could the same Asda allowance cost less elsewhere?

Yes — these 15 cards are not necessarily the cheapest route to Asda Mobile. On 20 October 2026, Uswitch's Asda listings advertised 10GB on 12 months for £5.95/month, against £8/month in our dated selection. It also listed 100GB on 24 months for £12/month, against £17/month here. Those are headline data-and-term matches, not proof of identical promotional eligibility, checkout prices or other conditions. Retailer-exclusive deals can differ and disappear. Before committing, compare the exact contract summary and total minimum spending; the current offer cards above should not be described as the market's cheapest Asda deals.

One-month PAYG vs Pay Monthly: what changes?

QuestionOne-month PAYG bundle12- or 24-month Pay Monthly
CommitmentOne calendar month per bundle12- or 24-month minimum term
RenewalOptional automatic monthly renewalMonthly billing under a contract
Credit checkAsda advertises PAYG without credit checksDo not assume identical eligibility checks
RolloverDo not assume it is includedEligible unused inclusive data rolls over once, into the next month
Asda RewardsNo Pay Monthly contract Cashpot benefitConditional bill-linked Cashpot value for eligible Rewards members
Ending serviceNo long fixed minimum termEarly-termination charges may apply before the term ends

Asda says PAYG bundles last one calendar month and can be set to renew through My Account. Small but important distinction: DealPriceCheck currently labels these offers “30-day rolling” for comparison, whereas Asda describes the actual bundle validity as one calendar month. Calendar months vary in length, so confirm your own renewal/expiry date in My Account. If your bundle expires or you use all your allowance, check Asda's add-on and standard rates. For flexible plans from other providers, browse no-contract and rolling SIM deals.

Asda currently advertises no mid-contract price rises on its 12- and 24-month SIM-only offers. That makes budgeting easier during the minimum term. It does not mean you can end a fixed contract freely, or that every charge and post-term price is frozen for good.

The 5GB roaming ceiling behind 100GB and Unlimited plans

Included data in Asda's eligible European destinations is the smaller of your UK data allowance and 5GB per month.

UK allowanceIncluded data in eligible European destinations
3GBUp to 3GB
10GBUp to 5GB
100GBUp to 5GB
UnlimitedUp to 5GB (not unlimited)

Asda lists 46 eligible European destinations, so check your actual country before you travel. It advertises 5G roaming in only some destinations, and a UK 5G plan does not guarantee 5G abroad.

As checked on 20 October 2026, Asda's standard charge for data after the included European roaming allowance is 10p per MB, so a further 100MB costs £10. Asda says it sends notifications at 80% and 100% of the allowance, and that roaming add-ons can be bought through My Account. Its Pay Monthly terms also describe a pause at the roaming fair-use threshold until you authorise further data use, and a £30 roaming-data spending limit; account settings and PAYG controls may differ. A pause is not extra free data. Check the controls on your account and compare an add-on before you exceed the cap.

Travel check in three steps:

  1. Check your destination and the charges on Asda's roaming page.
  2. If you will use data abroad, enable roaming in both Asda My Account and your phone's settings.
  3. Check your balance before you stream, use a hotspot or let photo backups run.

Roaming abroad is different from phoning an international number from the UK. International calls from the UK can carry separate charges. If you regularly need more roaming data, compare UK SIM deals with EU roaming.

How Asda Mobile's data rollover works

On eligible Pay Monthly contracts, unused inclusive UK data carries into the next billing month only. It helps if your usage is uneven, but it is not an unlimited data bank.

Example: you have a 10GB contract and use 6GB in month one. The unused 4GB carries over, so you have 14GB in month two: the 10GB fresh allowance plus 4GB carried forward. Asda says the rolled-over data is used first. Whatever remains of that original 4GB at the end of month two cannot roll into month three. Qualifying unused fresh data from month two can still carry into month three under the usual rule.

Asda's Pay Monthly terms set no extra numerical cap on how much unused inclusive data can roll into the next month. A tariff change forfeits any unused inclusive allowance from the previous tariff under clause 4.4 of Asda's Pay Monthly terms. One-month PAYG buyers should not assume this rollover benefit applies to them.

That is why a 3GB contract might appeal even with no monthly discount: after a quiet month you can use more than usual. It does not remove the risk of a 12- or 24-month commitment. For other networks' approaches to saved allowances, see our data-rollover SIM comparison.

Are Asda Rewards a discount on your SIM bill?

No. Asda Rewards give conditional Rewards value and do not reduce the amount you owe on your mobile bill. Under section 14 of Asda's published Pay Monthly terms (updated August 2025), Asda Rewards members who pay their mobile bill in full and on time can earn the following conditional value, subject to the Rewards scheme rules:

Example: 5% of a £19 monthly bill is 95p of Cashpot value for a qualifying month. It is not 95p returned to your bank account, and you should not subtract it from the monthly price in the tariff table. The scheme's membership, redemption and validity rules still apply.

You may see extra plan-specific Rewards promotions at Asda checkout. Count a promotion only if it applies to the exact offer you select, you meet its conditions and its validity is confirmed. Someone who rarely shops at Asda gets less from these extras than a regular Rewards user.

Which network does Asda Mobile use, and is eSIM available?

Asda currently advertises network access through Vodafone and Three, which our offer data reflects. That does not mean every handset uses both networks at once, or that speeds, indoor signal, 5G and features match a direct Vodafone or Three contract.

Check coverage at home, at work and on your regular journeys, using Asda's coverage checker and the exact handset you plan to use. National coverage statistics do not tell you about reception at your postcode. Asda advertises 4G, 5G and Wi-Fi calling, subject to supported devices and service conditions. Our Vodafone-network guide explains the wider network relationships.

What about eSIM? The evidence is mixed as of 20 October 2026. Asda's published Pay Monthly contract terms explicitly describe ordering an eSIM and activating it by QR code; its help centre describes switching a physical SIM to eSIM. UK comparison sites also mark Asda offers eSIM-compatible. Those sources show official eSIM support documentation, but do not confirm that every deal above currently offers eSIM at checkout. The individual DealPriceCheck cards do not currently verify the SIM format. Do not rely on a third-party eSIM badge or an older availability notice alone. If your handset requires eSIM, ask Asda to confirm that your exact plan can be activated as eSIM before paying, or compare eSIM listings from other networks.

Can you change or cancel an Asda Mobile contract early?

Changing your data allowance does not leave your existing agreement untouched. Asda's published Pay Monthly terms allow tariff-transfer requests under conditions, but moving to another tariff means agreeing to a new agreement. The terms also say you cannot move from a 24-month minimum term to a 12-month one before the 24 months end. Ask for the new end date and costs before you accept a change.

For most cancellations after the cooling-off period but before the minimum term ends, Asda's terms say an early-termination charge applies, subject to contractual exceptions. It is calculated with reference to the subscription price and time remaining, with adjustments; it is not a flat fee. Ask Asda for the exact final quote before making a decision. After the minimum term ends, the agreement continues monthly until you end it under the applicable terms, without the minimum-term exit charge.

Can you keep your number when switching to Asda?

Yes. Text PAC to 65075 from your existing UK SIM, then give the code to Asda using its switching instructions. Keep the old SIM available until the transfer completes. A PAC request does not erase any early-termination charge owed to your previous network. If you want to leave the old number behind, use the separate STAC process. Our UK guide to keeping your number covers both routes.

Who should buy an Asda Mobile SIM-only plan?

The light user: Consider one-month PAYG if you mostly use home Wi-Fi and do not want to commit beyond a calendar month. Check the actual allowance and do not pay for unused GB.

The occasional heavy user: A Pay Monthly tariff with rollover may help if your usage swings between months. Work out whether that benefit justifies a longer term.

The regular Asda shopper: Conditional Cashpot value can tip a close comparison if the plan already fits your budget and reception needs. Do not treat Cashpot as money off the SIM bill.

The heavy UK data user: Compare the current 100GB and Unlimited cards, then look at 100GB+ deals or the wider Unlimited SIM comparison if another network may suit you better. Unlimited UK data remains subject to the provider's acceptable-use conditions, and European roaming is still capped.

Probably not the right fit: frequent European travellers who need well over 5GB of included data; buyers who need eSIM but cannot get availability confirmed for their chosen plan; and anyone likely to switch provider soon who is considering a 24-month term.

Six checks before clicking View Deal

  1. Data: Does this allowance fit your typical use and not just your busiest day?
  2. Minimum term: Are you buying one-month PAYG or agreeing to 12 or 24 months?
  3. Cost: Have you checked the minimum contract cost and what triggers extra charges?
  4. Coverage and SIM format: Will reception, phone features and the physical SIM/eSIM option work for your device?
  5. Travel: Are your destinations covered, and can you stay within 5GB?
  6. Rewards and discounts: Are they included on this exact offer, and will you use them?

Return to the live Asda Mobile offer cards above to choose an allowance and term. Use Full plan details to inspect the listed conditions, then View Deal for the provider's purchase page. Confirm the final price, contract, extras and availability at checkout. DealPriceCheck covers selected deals and not the whole market; as the dated comparison above shows, other retailers may offer materially lower headline prices for the same data allowance and term.

Asda Mobile SIM-only deals: FAQs

Are Asda Mobile's one-month deals contracts?

No. They are PAYG bundles lasting one calendar month, with optional automatic renewal. They differ from Asda's 12- and 24-month Pay Monthly minimum-term contracts.

Are Asda Mobile 24-month deals always better value?

No. On the deals checked 20 October 2026, 3GB cost £5 a month whatever the term, while some larger allowances were cheaper per month on 24 months. Check the current cards and weigh exit charges, not just the monthly rate.

Is European roaming unlimited on Asda Unlimited?

No. Asda's Unlimited UK data plans include up to 5GB in eligible European destinations. Plans with less than 5GB of UK data have an even smaller roaming allowance.

Does unused Asda Mobile data expire?

Eligible Pay Monthly data rolls into the next month only. Rolled-over data cannot keep accumulating across several months.

Do Asda Rewards lower my phone bill?

No. Qualifying spending may earn Asda Pounds Cashpot value under the Rewards rules, and your mobile bill stays payable at its contracted amount.

Does Asda Mobile offer eSIM?

Asda's documentation discusses eSIM and some comparison sites mark it as compatible, but the public plan details reviewed on 20 October 2026 did not establish eSIM availability for each listed offer. If eSIM is essential, ask Asda directly before ordering. Do not assume the absence of an eSIM badge here means support is impossible.

What happens if I cancel a 24-month Asda contract early?

An early-termination charge may apply after the cooling-off period and before the minimum term ends. Ask Asda for the amount on your account.

What happens when I run out of data on a one-month Asda bundle?

Asda says you can buy a data add-on or use data at its published standard PAYG rate. Check the current per-MB charge and your account's spending controls before continuing to use data without a bundle.

Can I transfer my current mobile number to Asda?

Yes. Text PAC to 65075 from your old SIM and give the code to Asda when instructed. Check any outstanding charges with your previous provider.

How we compared Asda Mobile deals

We examined the 15 selected offer cards shown on this DealPriceCheck provider page and marked checked 20 October 2026. On 20 October 2026 we cross-checked published provider terms on PAYG renewal, contract length, data rollover, Rewards, roaming charges, eSIM documentation and early cancellation. We did not test an individual purchase or eSIM activation at checkout. We also reviewed UK comparison results to judge search intent and whether these cards cover every Asda promotion. They do not cover the whole market.

For the detailed rules, use Asda's official roaming page, PAYG plan terms and Pay Monthly terms.
