Which VOXI SIM-only deal is right for you?
Choose VOXI for the way you use mobile data, not just the biggest headline allowance. Its rolling 30-day subscriptions can be particularly attractive if you spend a lot of time using the supported social, music and video services. But an allowance described as “unlimited social” does not make maps, games, cloud backups or video calls unlimited.
| Your main use | Start by checking | What could make the plan poor value |
|---|---|---|
| Messaging, scrolling and social feeds | A plan with Unlimited Social Media and enough ordinary data | Voice/video calls and some third-party content use ordinary data |
| Music streaming | Whether your exact tier includes Unlimited Music | Podcast, audiobook or subscription costs may not be covered |
| YouTube and subscription video | A tier specifically including Unlimited Video | Subscription charges, third-party traffic and use abroad remain separate |
| Work, downloads, gaming or a laptop hotspot | The general-purpose UK data allowance | Zero-rated entertainment benefits do not cover most of these activities |
| European holidays | SIM payment plus any required roaming pass | A provider including roaming might cost less across your trips |
Start with the live VOXI cards above. Use Full plan details to check the recorded general-purpose allowance and contract terms, then View Deal for the selected offer's checkout. If you are unsure how much normal data you need, look at two or three recent billing periods rather than buying the largest plan automatically.
What is included in VOXI's “Unlimited” social, music and video data?
VOXI's signature benefit is zero-rated qualifying use of selected apps in the UK: that traffic does not come out of your normal data allowance. The benefit varies by tier and has exclusions.
Unlimited Social Media
Eligible apps include services such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat. Reading posts and sending ordinary messages may qualify, but making or receiving voice and video calls through social apps is excluded. For example, a lengthy WhatsApp video call can use your general-purpose data even though WhatsApp appears on the eligible list.
Unlimited Music and Video
Some tiers also include qualifying music streaming on selected apps such as Spotify or Apple Music. Other eligible tiers add selected video services such as YouTube, Netflix or Prime Video. Having the app's data included is not the same as having its paid subscription included. VOXI also excludes certain traffic, including podcasts and audiobooks from its music benefit and some third-party advertising, links or content.
Four limits that matter in practice
- Keep some general-purpose data available. VOXI requires a remaining general-data balance for the unlimited-app benefits to operate.
- Use eligible content in a supported way. Apps, versions and the exact type of traffic matter; an eligible brand name alone does not make all activity free of data charges.
- Tethering does not make everything unlimited. VOXI says eligible app use can retain its benefit through a phone hotspot, but laptop updates, games, ordinary websites and other traffic still count against general data.
- The app passes are for UK use. On a trip abroad, supported social, music and video activity uses your available roaming data instead.
This is why VOXI can suit somebody who watches a lot of supported entertainment but be less useful for somebody who uses large amounts of data in work apps, maps or video calls. The provider's published app-benefit terms and benefits explanation give the current eligible-app rules.
Are VOXI 30-day deals genuinely flexible — and are they price locked?
VOXI's standalone SIM plans are rolling 30-day subscriptions, rather than 12- or 24-month airtime commitments. They renew every 30 days through your stored payment method, and you can stop future renewals under VOXI's account process. This is useful if you are trying coverage for the first time, expect to change your data use or do not want a long minimum term.
A 30-day renewal is not identical to a calendar-month bill: twelve 30-day periods cover 360 days. If you need uninterrupted service across a whole 365-day year, a further renewal may begin before the end of that year. Count the payments covering your actual period of use, not simply twelve calendar months.
VOXI currently advertises its regular plans as price locked, meaning it does not apply a routine annual rise to their listed monthly plan charge under that promise. That should not be confused with every promotional data allowance lasting for ever, or with optional passes and extras being included free of charge. A short-term offer can change for new buyers and the conditions of the offer you take determine what you receive.
Why more data can sometimes cost less
DealPriceCheck's VOXI cards checked on 12 October 2026 included a promoted 75GB for £12 per 30 days alongside a 35GB for £15 listing. It was therefore possible, in that dated selection, to get more general-purpose data for a lower recurring charge. VOXI separately published a triple-data promotion on selected plans running to 26 November 2026, with different underlying allowances after the promotional offer closes to new customers.
That example is not a current-price ranking or a promise about the allowance an existing customer retains after joining. Its lesson is evergreen: compare every eligible offer and its promotion conditions rather than treating the middle-priced plan as the sensible default. In particular, distinguish a plan's joining deadline from the terms applying after activation.
If you are tempted by unlimited UK data, ask whether the apps you actually use are covered by the unlimited-app benefit first. Heavy downloads, general web use and frequent tethering may make a true unlimited-data plan more appropriate. You can compare unlimited-data SIM deals across providers before deciding.
Which network does VOXI use, and will 5G work on your phone?
VOXI is a Vodafone brand and markets its service on The Nation's Network, the combined Vodafone and Three infrastructure. Network sharing is being rolled out progressively; this does not guarantee identical access to all coverage areas or features at every postcode. A phone advertised as 5G-ready also needs a compatible device and local 5G service.
Before moving your main number, check the areas where it must work: inside your home, at work and on your usual journeys. A broad national coverage percentage is less informative than your own postcode and building. VOXI provides network and coverage information; if you are open to another provider using Vodafone-related infrastructure, compare the Vodafone-network SIM deals on DealPriceCheck. Shared infrastructure does not mean identical plan features or performance.
Can you join VOXI with an eSIM?
Yes. VOXI lets a new customer choose eSIM at checkout on a compatible device, and existing customers can request a physical-SIM-to-eSIM change in their online account. A digital SIM does not improve coverage by itself. Check your phone's compatibility and activation route before buying, particularly if you intend to travel immediately: VOXI advises activating an eSIM in the UK before using it abroad. See VOXI's eSIM instructions, or compare UK eSIM SIM-only deals from other networks.
VOXI European roaming: what do you really pay?
In most European destinations, VOXI requires a paid European Roaming Pass to use your UK minutes, texts and eligible data. Four destinations are exceptions: the Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Iceland and Norway do not require that pass under the published zone rules.
| Where you travel | Do you need VOXI's European Roaming Pass? | Data you can use |
|---|---|---|
| Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Iceland or Norway | No, under VOXI's listed Zone A rules | Your available plan data, up to 20GB per 30-day period |
| Eligible Zone B destinations such as France, Spain or Italy | Yes | Your available plan data, up to 20GB per 30-day period, with a valid pass |
| Places outside the eligible European zones | Other destination-specific roaming arrangements or charges | Depends on the destination and relevant extra |
The 20GB figure is a ceiling, not a bonus data bundle. If you have 8GB of ordinary data available, buying a pass does not add 20GB; you remain limited by your available plan allowance and the fair-use rules. VOXI's Unlimited Social Media, Music and Video benefits are not included in roaming, so those apps also use your ordinary allowance while abroad.
A worked eight-day holiday example
VOXI's official European-pass price list checked on 21 October 2026 showed £15 for an eight-day pass, with other one-, two- and 15-day options. On those terms:
- One eight-day holiday: your ordinary VOXI subscription plus £15 for the pass, before chargeable extras.
- Three separate eight-day holidays: your ordinary subscriptions plus £45 in passes, assuming the same £15 price remains available.
The second example is why an included-roaming plan may work out cheaper for somebody who travels regularly even if VOXI's UK subscription looks attractive. There is also a timing trap: the pass begins counting down when purchased, not when you first roam, so buying it too early wastes valid days. Check the official pass durations, prices and exemptions before travelling.
For tariffs with roaming already included, see SIM-only deals with EU roaming. VOXI's paid roaming is a genuine cost difference, not a reason to change its card labels or hide the offer.
VOXI versus Lebara: which makes more sense?
If your main reason for considering VOXI is its qualifying entertainment-app benefits, it may deserve a place on your shortlist. If your priority is the price of general-purpose data, included European roaming or calls to overseas numbers from the UK, compare Lebara SIM-only deals as well. Lebara is an existing DealPriceCheck partner, but it should only be chosen where the actual plan meets your needs.
| Your priority | VOXI may be stronger when… | Lebara is worth checking when… |
|---|---|---|
| Social, music and video | The apps you regularly use are eligible under the precise VOXI tier | You prefer to compare the straightforward UK data price instead |
| European trips | You travel infrequently enough that roaming passes are an acceptable extra | The chosen Lebara tariff includes the destinations and roaming allowance you need |
| Calls from the UK to another country | You rarely make international calls | An eligible Lebara offer includes minutes to your specific destination and number type |
| Contract flexibility | You want VOXI's rolling 30-day subscription | You can choose a suitable 30-day Lebara offer without a long commitment |
| eSIM | VOXI confirms activation for your handset | The exact Lebara offer confirms new-customer eSIM eligibility; availability is more restricted |
Lebara's eligible Roam Like Home plans carry their own fair-use rules, rather than unlimited data abroad. Nor should sharing Vodafone infrastructure be treated as a guarantee of identical speeds or support. Compare a like-for-like amount of ordinary UK data, the full expected cost over your intended use period, roaming and any necessary international minutes. The live Lebara cards then provide the site's existing affiliate-enabled purchase routes where applicable — no alternative purchase link is needed in this article.
If neither provider suits your needs, use all UK SIM-only deals to filter by network, contract and data allowance instead of choosing solely on a brand slogan.
How to switch to VOXI and keep your number
You can usually take your UK mobile number to VOXI when moving from another provider. Text PAC to 65075 on the service you want to keep, receive your Porting Authorisation Code and give it to VOXI after ordering and activating the new connection. Keep your old number active until the transfer is completed. If you are leaving your existing provider before its minimum term, a charge may still apply.
Already with Vodafone? Moving from Vodafone to VOXI can use a different migration route depending on whether you have a pay-as-you-go or pay-monthly account. Follow VOXI's guidance for that account type instead of assuming the ordinary external-network PAC sequence is identical. See Ofcom's mobile-switching guidance for your rights and the general process.
If your main reason for switching is avoiding a long agreement, compare other 30-day rolling SIM-only deals before joining.
VOXI SIM-only questions answered
Are all VOXI SIM-only plans 30-day rolling?
Its standard SIM-only range is sold as rolling 30-day subscriptions, not a 12- or 24-month airtime commitment. A separately financed phone may have its own repayment agreement even though the SIM plan remains flexible.
Is VOXI really unlimited for WhatsApp and YouTube?
Only qualifying use on an eligible tier is exempt from normal UK data. WhatsApp voice and video calls are excluded from Unlimited Social Media; YouTube requires a plan that includes the relevant video benefit, and third-party traffic can still consume ordinary data.
Does VOXI offer free EU roaming?
Not generally. Most eligible European destinations require a paid pass; the Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Iceland and Norway are listed exemptions. A 20GB fair-use limit applies, subject to your remaining domestic allowance.
Does VOXI offer a social tariff?
VOXI's separate VOXI For Now scheme is for eligible people receiving certain government benefits. Its published offer provides unlimited UK data, calls and texts for £10 per 30-day period for six months, then changes to a standard £10 plan with 20GB under the stated conditions. It requires eligibility verification and is not the same as an ordinary unlimited tariff listed above. Read VOXI For Now eligibility and terms if this applies to you.
Does VOXI require a credit check?
VOXI's standalone rolling SIM-only plans are generally marketed without a standard credit check. Financing a handset is a different transaction and can involve credit and affordability checks. Confirm the precise purchase type rather than assuming that a SIM-only subscription and a phone repayment agreement have the same approval rules.
Our verdict on VOXI SIM-only deals
VOXI is most compelling when its flexible subscription and qualifying unlimited-app data replace ordinary data you would otherwise pay for. It is less compelling when you need large amounts of data outside those apps or pay repeatedly for roaming passes.
Start with the live VOXI offers above. Compare the allowance you can use anywhere in the UK, not only the unlimited-app slogan; check your actual destinations if you travel, and keep an eye on whether a promotional data boost is part of the exact offer. If inclusive roaming or international calling is a priority, compare the relevant Lebara plans on DealPriceCheck before choosing.
