How to choose a Lyca SIM-only plan

Pick the data allowance first, then the payment arrangement. The lowest first payment is often not the cheapest plan over the months you will keep the SIM. Use the filters above to narrow Lyca's plans by data, introductory price, later price and commitment instead of scrolling every card.

Size your data allowance before looking at the discount

If a small plan covers your normal month, a bigger bundle is not better value just because its introductory discount looks larger. If you often run out, compare the later monthly cost of a larger bundle with the cost of buying extra data again and again.

30-day plan or longer commitment?

A 30-day plan suits you if you are testing reception, expect to move or do not want a one- or two-year commitment. Check how the bundle renews, whether auto-renewal is on and how to cancel. A 24-month plan can cost less per month, but only if you will stay for the full term and accept any early-exit charges.

PAYG credit, a prepaid bundle, an auto-renewing 30-day allowance and a fixed-term agreement are four different products. The deal card and Lyca's checkout show which one you are buying.

Compare total cost, not the headline price

Compare offers over the same number of payments. For each plan, add the promotional payments, the later payments and any upfront fee. For a fixed-term plan, use the minimum contract total. For a rolling plan, decide whether you will keep it for three, six or twelve renewals. The longer you stay after the discount ends, the less the first bill matters.

Twelve 30-day renewals last 360 days, not a calendar year. Offer-specific amounts come from the live cards above, which show introductory and later prices where recorded. We do not copy a promotion into static text, because it could outlive the offer.

Lyca unlimited data plans

Lyca sells both capped and unlimited UK-data plans. Unlimited makes sense if you stream, download or use your phone as a hotspot regularly and do not want to track a monthly allowance. If most of your use is on home or work Wi-Fi, price a smaller plan first.

Two things change the value of unlimited: the price after any offer ends, and the length of the commitment. A discounted 24-month unlimited plan is a different purchase from a rolling unlimited bundle. UK unlimited data also does not remove roaming caps or published fair-use limits.

Which network does Lyca Mobile use?

Lyca Mobile uses EE's UK 4G and 5G radio network through BT Wholesale. BT confirmed the wholesale partnership. If EE signal is good where you live, work or travel, Lyca is worth a look.

The same network does not mean the same speed policies, features or support. Check your key locations with Ofcom's mobile coverage checker. Postcode predictions can miss indoor problems, so if indoor signal matters, test the SIM before moving your main number.

Does Lyca Mobile offer 5G and eSIM?

Yes, on eligible UK plans. Lyca advertises 5G and eSIM, but whether they work for you depends on three checks, in this order: plan, phone, activation. An eSIM logo on a website does not mean every handset or sales route behaves the same way.

International calls from the UK and roaming abroad

Lyca's international calling is useful only if your exact destination and number type are covered. A general claim of "international minutes" does not mean every country or mobile number is included. Country-calling bundles can also be separate products from the SIM-only plans above.

Use a UK SIM as soon as you arrive	Whether the SIM needs UK activation before it works abroad.

International calling means phoning another country while you are in Britain. Roaming means using your UK SIM while you are outside the UK. Unlimited UK data is not unlimited roaming data, and hotspot on UK data does not guarantee tethering abroad.

Promotions, renewals and contract terms

Before you click `View Deal`, run through five checks:

Price now and later: how many payments are discounted, and what comes after?
Commitment: is it a rolling 30-day plan or a fixed term, and what happens if you leave?
Renewal: is auto-renewal on, and how do you stop or change it?
Features: does this exact bundle include the data, international numbers, roaming or device features you need?
Eligibility: is the discount limited to new customers, an activation deadline or a particular checkout route?

To keep your UK number, get a PAC from your current provider by texting PAC to 65075, then give it to your new provider through the right switching process. Lyca Mobile SIM-only FAQs

Can I get a Lyca SIM without a long contract?

Yes. Some Lyca offers are recurring 30-day plans, and others have longer commitments. Check the contract or renewal label on the deal you choose. A short billing period does not make every payment optional, and not every 30-day offer is PAYG credit.

What happens when the Lyca introductory offer ends?

The plan normally moves to its published later price unless the terms say otherwise. The live deal card shows both prices and the number of discounted renewals. Confirm the total at checkout.

Does a Lyca SIM include international calls?

Selected bundles include calls to eligible destinations. Check the country, whether the number is mobile or landline, and the included minutes. Specialist calling packages are not automatically part of the SIM-only offers on this page.

Is Lyca Mobile on EE or O2 in the UK?

EE. Lyca uses EE's UK network through BT Wholesale. Some older web pages describe its previous network arrangements.

Can I buy a Lyca eSIM or unlimited-data plan?

Yes, on eligible offers. Check your phone and the specific tariff first. Unlimited UK data does not include unlimited roaming data.

Can I keep my existing number?

Normally yes. Ask your current UK provider for a PAC and follow Lyca's porting instructions. Check your old contract for early-exit charges before you switch.
